mdo for Android — Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 19, 2026

mdo is a local Markdown document viewer. It does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal data.

Documents

mdo reads only a document that you explicitly choose in Android's document picker or send to the app through an Open or Share action. Markdown is rendered on your device. The app does not upload document contents or rendered pages.

Android may allow mdo to retain read access to a document you selected so the same document can be reopened. You can revoke that access by clearing the app's data or uninstalling it.

Network and tracking

The app requests no Internet permission and contains no advertising, analytics, telemetry, crash-reporting service, account system, or tracking SDK. It does not collect device identifiers or usage statistics.

Links in a Markdown document are opened by another app chosen by Android. That other app and the destination have their own privacy practices.

Storage and deletion

mdo does not maintain a cloud account or server-side copy of your data. Clear the app's storage or uninstall it to remove its local settings and retained document permissions.

Changes and contact
